Shawwal moon not sighted; Eid-ul-Fitr to be celebrated in Pakistan on Saturday

Chairman Ruet-e-Hilal Committee Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman on Thursday announced that Eid-ul-Fitr would be celebrated on Saturday across Pakistan as Shawwal moon was not sighted. Central Ruet-i-Hilal Committee gathered in Karachi. 

Previously, the Met Office nulled out any possibility of Moon sighting on Thursday. The government has already announced four public holidays for Eid starting from 15th Friday, 2018. 

Though, extremely rare, whole of the nation started observing Ramzan on the same date this year and also Eid-ul-Fitr would be celebrated on the same date throughout the country. 

Moon was also not sighted in India and Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei will celebrate Eid tomorrow.
